Aims and objectives:

The course aims at providing opportunity to the graduates of Ayurveda to specialise in a specific subject out of different specialties offered by the University. It aims at preparing scholars with profound scholarship with due exposure to critical theoretical studies and intensive clinical and practical training in their subject of specialty. The subjects offered are: -

I.	Ayurveda Siddhanta and Darshan	Fundamental Principles of Ayurveda
II.	Samhita	Classical Ayurvedic Texts
III.	Dravyguna	Phamacognosy and Pharmacology
IV.	Rasa Shastra	Science of Minerals, Herbal & Aquatic Drugs
V.	Bhaishajya Kalpana	Pharmacy and Pharmceutics
VI.	Kayachikitsa	Internal Medicine.
VII	Vikritivigyana and Roga Nidan	Diagnostic Methods and Pathology.
VIII	Panchakarma	Internal Purification and Massage Therapy
IX	Kaumarabhritya	Pediatrics
X	Prasuti Tantra and Striroga	Obstetrics and Gynaecology *
XI	Shalya	Surgery *
XII	Shalakya	Ophthalmology and Otorhinolaryngology & Dentistry *

Duration:

Three years
a) First year - general orientation in different subjects.
b) Second & Third year - specialization studies and dissertation.

Eligibility:

Graduation in Ayurveda from the recognized University.

Qualifying age:

Not recommended.

Medium of Instruction

Hindi/English/Sanskrit

No. of Seats:

a) 34 stipendary
b) 08 non-stipendary

Admission Criteria:

a) Entrance test
b) Admission to affiliated P.G. Centers will be governed centrally by the University

Academic year:

July to June.

Fees:

a) No Fees for Indian Nationals. Government of India provides stipend to the admitted scholars of 6 (a) category for three years.
b) For foreign nationals as per rules.
